In 1926 a frozen leopard in a sitting position was found at the top of the Kilimanjaro (Africa) at an altitude of nearly 6000 meters. There is an image about this surprising finding and it shows two smiling nuns close up and the impressive figure of the leopard which although being on the background is clearly dominating.
In 1992 the German editor Bernd Klüser, rescued this photo from oblivion and selected 19 international artists with the proposal to create an original print with their own interpretation of the meaning of existence. These prints compose the two portfolios of THE FROZEN LEOPARD.
